Kelowna Office Launch

There’s no question we love a good party.

Which is why we were delighted to have a reason to play host to the Okanagan community last month at the official opening of our Kelowna office.

A diverse and dynamic group representing a variety of industries, our guests made our job easy as they welcomed us to the neighbourhood with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. In return, we kept them fuelled with delicious food and drink offerings from local businesses El TaqueroCannery BrewingTree BrewingRigamaroleGrey Monk Estate and See Ya Later Ranch, and inspired by the words of special guest City Councillor Ryan Donn.

Before hearing from Councillor Donn, co-Founder Simon Kent told the story of Connect’s origins and how he and co-Founder Leisha Murphy sought to build a firm that practiced family law in a new way. Kelowna lawyer F. Scott Murray then talked about what drew him to Connect, highlighting our commitment to community-building, our progressive approach to legal services, and our innovative offerings, such as our Divorce Salons.

Simon then introduced Councillor Donn, who spoke about Kelowna’s growth and its many opportunities for its citizens, outlining his plans for the city’s future. He discussed how Connect’s values – innovation, creativity, and an emphasis on people – align well with his ideas for developing Kelowna, making the firm a natural fit for the Okanagan.

And our guests seemed to agree. Those we spoke with expressed genuine interest in our efforts to revolutionize the practice of family law by putting people first. We are truly thrilled at the opportunity to support families in the Okanagan and look forward to sharing with them our commitment to doing family law differently.
