Shanna is an articling student at Connect's Kelowna office. She discovered her passion for family law while volunteering with the Elizabeth Fry Society. It is no surprise that Shanna gravitated towards family law considering her compassionate and caring nature. She is driven by her desire to help others, and has an extensive history of volunteering in animal rescue.
It was this compassion that led Shanna to attend law school at Thompson Rivers University. She felt that learning the law and how to navigate its complexities would put her in a better position to assist others. Shanna’s favourite and most valuable law school experience was her time providing free legal assistance to those that are unable to afford it at the TRU Community Legal Clinic.
Shanna joined Connect because of it's collaborative, heart-forward, and comprehensive practice that aligns with her own calm, careful and compassionate approach. Although Shanna only began her journey with Connect in May of 2021, she already feels at home.
Outside of work, you can find Shanna spending the majority of her time with her rescue dog, Benji. Benji and Shanna spend as much time as possible outdoors camping, hiking, biking and paddle boarding.
