Noemi defines her practice by her passion for helping others and her desire to connect people with the legal services they need and deserve. With a professional background that found her working with clients from varied cultures and backgrounds, she is sensitive to both the financial and social complexities involved in family transitions. Compassionate and approachable, Noemi is the perfect ally to help you navigate the stress and confusion that can accompany separation and divorce.
Before pursuing her legal career, Noemi completed a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of British Columbia and worked in the fields of addictions, parole and child protection. During this time, she gained extensive experience in conflict resolution, mediation and advocacy.
While later studying law at UBC, Noemi devoted a semester to working full time for Rise Women’s Legal Centre, a clinic which provides women with free legal representation in family law and related areas. Upon graduating, she articled with Farris LLP where she gained experience in civil and estate litigation, family law and property law, assisting with complex trials and negotiating settlements. At the completion of her articles, Noemi chose to start her own firm as a sole practitioner, narrow her focus, and commit to making legal services more widely accessible. When she learned about Connect and the firm’s emphasis on community, collaboration and empowerment, she welcomed the opportunity to join a team who take a similarly people-centred approach to family law.
Outside work, Noemi enjoys seeing the world and experiencing other cultures. She has already had the good fortune to visit 28 countries spread across 4 different continents and has no intention of ending her travels there.
