Wendy is a (currently non-practicing) lawyer who is responsible for overseeing and implementing the firm’s online marketing and communications strategy. She blogs, tweets, shares, and comments on all things family law-related, and supports the rest of the Connect team in doing the same. Wendy plays a similar role at Kent Employment Law (KEL), where she has also co-authored or contributed to a number of employment law resources, including KEL’s Sustainable Employment e-book and guidelines for employers.
Before making her (latest) career transition, Wendy provided support to the KEL legal team for many years as a research lawyer and solicitor on a variety of employment law matters. Called to the British Columbia Bar in 1998, her legal experience is wide ranging, and includes corporate law work at Bull, Housser & Tupper, and securities law policy development at the BC Securities Commission.
After over 15 years of various forms of legal practice, Wendy feels fortunate to have the opportunity to combine her knowledge of the law, her passion for writing, and her skill at translating complicated concepts into plain language.
