Renate Crawford

Designated Paralegal (Kelowna)
Renate Crawford

Renate brings over two decades of litigation support experience to her role as Senior Paralegal in Connect’s Kelowna office. Having held Legal Assistant positions in high-demand environments at several leading, full-service British Columbia law firms, she is well-versed in a wide range of legal practice areas including family law. Her in-house support roles at both ENMAX and Placer Dome round out Renate’s extensive legal pedigree.

Renate works alongside Connect’s clients and lawyers at every step of a file, from inception through to resolution (whether through negotiation, mediation, trial or appeal).  She offers the full paralegal skillset, providing crucial support through file and document management support, client relations, and legal research and drafting

A champion of Connect’s progressive approach to the practice of law, Renate is inspired and fueled by the prospect of making a positive difference in her clients’ lives. Her own personal experience with the family law system has made her attuned to the emotional and financial strains that can accompany separation and divorce. And her grace under pressure has a calming effect that is welcomed by clients in transition.

Proud to live in the Interior, Renate makes the most of her surroundings by hiking, running, biking and snowshoeing every chance she gets. Her passion for the outdoors – which has led her to participate regularly in Kelowna’s Knox Mountain Challenge and various Wine Country half-marathons – is exceeded only by her love for her two incredible teenage twins who make Renate proud to call herself “Mom”.
