Lanie doesn’t just welcome new challenges – she goes looking for them. A consummate team player, in her first weeks on the job she was most frequently heard asking “How can I help?”. Add to this her easygoing nature and dry wit, and Lanie’s just the person you want sharing your office space.

As our Billing Coordinator, Lanie is a key contact for management, lawyers and clients alike and a central player on our finance team. Her background in the hectic world of hospitality management – which included customer service, operational, training and leadership roles – is evident in her ability to easily relate to people and remain cool under pressure.

After nearly 10 years running – and sometimes opening – restaurants, Lanie decided to broaden her professional skill set even further. To her Diploma in Hospitality Management and Degree in Hotel Resort Management (from UofC), she has added a Certificate in Financial Management (Professional Accounting) from BCIT, along with hands-on experience in bookkeeping and accounting. As she starts a new career chapter working in law, Lanie feels excited to be here and we feel lucky to have her. It’s a win-win, as they say.
