Doris brings over eight years of experience working in criminal and family law to her role as Connect’s Legal Administrative Assistant (LA). Since graduating from the LAA Program at CDI College in 2007, Doris has developed knowledge and expertise in all facets of running a successful law practice, from office management administration to court filings and procedures. Her responsibilities are wide ranging and include preparing legal documents, corresponding with clients and other lawyers, scheduling court hearings, and ongoing file and case management. As such, she is integral to the efficiency of Connect’s day-to-day operations and is an indispensable member of the firm’s legal team.

Not only does Doris make sure the firm runs smoothly, she creates a welcoming space for Connect’s clients. She is warm, thoughtful, and personable – essential qualities for anyone working with individuals going through separation and divorce. Her open and attentive nature helps ease what can often be a stressful experience – contacting a family law lawyer for the first time.

In her spare time, Doris is happiest reading or baking. She also enjoys travelling with her husband whenever possible. Doris is very active in her spiritual community, and regularly provides volunteer administrative assistance to her church.

In her own words: If Doris wasn't a paralegal, she'd own a bakery
