On October 26, 2018, Scott Murray joins the Kelowna Bar Association for lunch, where he will present and lead a roundtable discussion on the proposed alternative legal service providers in family law.
The KBA believes this luncheon will be of interest to all members, not just those practicing in the area of family law. The question of access to justice affects the provision of adequate legal services in all practice areas. Furthermore, at the upcoming Law Society of British Columbia AGM, members will consider a motion relating to the Law Society's efforts to create, credential and regulate new categories of non-lawyer legal service providers.
Clearly, this topic is a timely and controversial one and this lunch-time event promises to stimulate discussion and debate. Hope to see you there!
